I work all over town. I'm a Eastsider and rarely get over to Hamilton Avenue. That is until I happened upon Brothertoms Family Restauant/ Great specials, think old timey favorites like open face roast beef and meatloaf. Double deckers look great and are priced well. Can't wait to try one. Great breakfast served all day at a more than fair price. Eat better than ihop and Waffle House for about half the price. Staff is friendly, seems like a local favorite. I see why. Decor is dated but it's clean. Don't be a snob, come out and try something new. I Doubt you'll Regret it

I kept hearing about this restaurant, but even with Apple Maps, it was a little different to find and access this smaller restaurant in the heart of Mt Healthy. It sits on Hamilton Avenue at the crossroad of Compton. It's where Hamilton is busiest, so good to know, there is free parking in the back. Just watch for some rough terrain. We entered from the back. The place was full on a Thursday evening about 6:30 pm. The waitress was efficient and kind. There was a variety of foods and breakfast served all day. My friend ordered the salmon and found that the size of the portion matched the lower price of about $12. They put a special flavoring on the salmon that is like teriyaki. They have a vegetable of the day. The salads are colorful with cheese tomatoes and iceberg lettuce. I ordered the blackened chicken breast that covered my plate and definitely shareable. Yum! The fries were typical thicker crinkle cut. Beer menu was limited for draft, but cans were also available. We are definitely going back to this relaxed atmosphere to try more from the menu. Lots of history in this location! I ordered

Waited for about 10 minutes to get a table and server immediately came up. Awesome service and amazing food. Me and my family had no complaints and it was absolutely delicious! Very tradition and great place for a quick breakfast with family or friends.

People who are looking for a modern, fancy place will be disappointed. This is a clean, comfortable place in an older building. The waitress was nice and the food was delicious. My daughter got the liver and onions with mashed potatoes and onion rings. I got the corned beef hash omelet. Both dishes was delicious. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend when in the area.

I'd never had Brotherton's before even though I've lived pretty close to it all of my life. I've heard the food was good and when I was thinking of ordering Door Dash, it popped into my mind. I'd been craving a club sandwich, so I ordered a double decker with turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese and fries. The sandwich was packed with meat! Not sure why but I didn't expect that. I was pleasantly surprised. I forgot to take a picture of it. The fries were crinkle cut which are my favorite. However, they weren't crisp at all. I don't know if that's just how they make them, or the crispiness left in transit. Very happy I chose them today. I can't wait to try their breakfast!

It's decent food. I like the diner style of everything. Last visit was a little smaller on portions which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Brothertons is delicious for cheap diner food ! Breakfast served all day ! I get the open faced roast beef w/ mashed potatoes & Mac & cheese . . It's delicious & cheap ! $8.99 for a huge portion! My mom got the open faced turkey with mashed potatoes & green beans - she ate all of it . Also was $8.99 Soda was $1.99 with free refills. The menu is diner food , double deckers , chili , appetizers , breakfast and steaks . The service is friendly and has a hometown feel - the inside is antique like stepping back into the 90's . They close a tad early at 8 pm but it's delicious if you can make it in.

I always feel like I am taking a trip back in time to the comfort foods of my youth when I make it out to Brotherton's - they definitely have a retro diner feel coupled with a neighborhood bar and pub vibe - family friendly and inviting - the staff was very attentive to our needs - they were very busy, but our server was always checking in to make sure everything was going well - the menu consisted of typical mid-western comfort foods - a great sampling of appetizers - and plenty of entree choices - you can't go wrong with just about anything they offer - the ribs are melt in your mouth delicious - don't set the plate on the top of your head or your tongue will beat your brains out trying to get to it -

Breakfast, this place, do it!! I met a group of friends for brunch today. I ordered the country omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. I also ordered a side of goetta, which was cooked perfectly!! The omelet was a good size, and with the side and toast that come with it was more than filling. So very flavorful, lots of cheese and filings, it contains ham, hashbrowns, onions and green peppers. Delicious!! I ordered my hashbrowns well done, they were exactly as I hoped they would be. One of my friends had to send her hashbrowns back because they weren't done enough - she did not ask for them to be well done. Our server was Tricia, she did an amazing job keeping up with the 8 of us. She was super engaged and fun to chat with while at our table. Quaint environment, typical hole in the wall setup. The bathroom situation was a little sketch, and based on my friends comments from her previous visits, it always is.
